CLIRAQUA
Climate Resilience and Adaptation in Aquaculture
A transnational project to strengthen climate resilience in Atlantic aquaculture
CLIRAQUA is a transnational cooperation project developed within the European Atlantic Area to address the challenges that climate change poses to aquaculture. The project tackles shared issues related to the vulnerability of aquaculture species and environments, the sustainability of production systems and the need to improve the sector’s adaptive capacity in the face of emerging environmental risks.
Through applied research, technological innovation and cross-border cooperation, CLIRAQUA will develop and test transferable solutions that contribute to a more resilient, sustainable and future-ready aquaculture sector.
Our objectives
